Food

Costa Rica is known as a Blue Zone country where many people live for over 100 years. The foods here are simple yet delicious and nutritious. Experience and enjoy what the national centenarians eat to stay young, healthy, and viral.

A typical breakfast will include local fruits and vegetables, coffee, water,
juices, gallo pinto (rice with black beans), eggs, and maduros (ripe plantains). Your lunch will vary from day to day depending on your activities. Some lunches will include all organic fruits and vegetables from a local eco-minded farm to delicious fish tacos. Dinners will range from typical Tico casados (meals) like Arroz con Pollo (Chicken with Rice), fresh ceviche, and fish such as Dorado, Tuna, or whole Snapper served with rice, beans, salad, crispy plantains, to freshly caught tuna poke. All the fish are locally caught and sourced to guarantee the freshest quality available. Every meal will delight your senses and energize your body.

Testimonials

Serena Selva in Costa Rica was a total blast! Found all sorts of neat critters in tide pools, saw monkeys swinging in the rainforest (way cool), and even rode horses on the beach – amazing! The boat trip with jumping dolphins was incredible, and snorkeling with all those fish felt like a dream. My cabin had a gorgeous view of the rainforest, and the pool was perfect for relaxing after all the adventures. Plus, the food was delicious and healthy – just what you need after a busy day exploring. Thank you, Izabela and team!!

Tide pools, toucans singing in the rainforest (cooler than chipmunks!), and jungle horseback rides blew my mind. The boat trip with jumping dolphins and snorkeling with fish felt straight out of a movie! Massages at the resort were perfect and the chocolate workshop – YUM. I loved the mountain hikes with incredible views – epic Costa Rica!
